PET Film Slitting

PET film, also known as Polyester or polyethylene terephthalate, is a high-performance, crystal clear thermoplastic. Compare to other common plastic films, PET film has higher tensile strength, low moisture absorption, excellent dimensional stability and good retention of physical properties over a fairly wide temperature range. It also have good UV resistance, excellent electrical properties, good optical clarity, high gloss, and good gas barrier but only moderate moisture barrier properties. It is a good choice for quality printing and lamination. Due to its relative high melting point, it’s proper for applications that require sterilization at high temperatures. Considering its higher price relative to PVC, PE, or PP film, it can be only recognized as a specialty film.
